This is the second time the Farmer’s Wine Trail has been promoted and hasn’t disappointed yet. Keely and I have the best memories of the food and wine from last year that we couldn’t wait to experience it again.
One of the things we loved about this trail was the food but also getting to talk to the farmers and producers. They are so knowledgeable about their products and how to raise quality foods.
Adam Puchta Winery
Dish – Beef Stew with Cornbread. This was the heartiest dish throughout the Trail. Bold flavor and excellent taste
Wine – Situation Red
Bias Winery
Dish – Creamy Chicken Florentine. Oh so delish! The creaminess of the dish really brought out the chicken flavor.
Wine – Liebeswein
Dierberg Star Lane
Dish – French Roasted Pork with Apple Cream Sauce. The apple and the pork completely fused into one another to create a whole new tasting experience
Wine – Cabernet Sauvignon
Hermannhof Winery
Dish – Cream Cheese Raspberry Crepe Cake. This was almost our last stop which was so nice to have a sweet among the savory. Kudos to Hermannhof Winery for such a great mixup to the day!
Wine – Vingnoles
OakGlenn Winery
Dish – Meatballs and Coleslaw. Another beautiful day and great music too. We even met the lady that adopted our two dogs. Such a small world. =)
Wine – Blush
Röbller Vineyard
Dish -White Wine and Mushroom Risotto with Spring Vegetables, finished with Cool Cow Asiago and Brown Butter. Keely and I so enjoy coming here first. It definitely sets the tone of the day to have something this fantastic!
Wine – Reserve Vidal

Stone Hill Winery
Dish – Corn Chowder topped with Crumbled Cornbread. Finished up the day with this wonderful pairing. The cornbread on top was the “icing on the cake” for this Wine Trail.
Wine – Chardonnel
