Do your tree houses have plumbing?
Yes. We decided, for the comfort of our guests, that no matter how challenging it was, we had to figure out how to provide indoor plumbing. We fill a private holding tank in each accommodation with delicious well water, run it through a tankless water heater with a pump, and voila!
Do your treehouses have air conditioning and heating?
Yes. We love a controlled climate. Warm/cool, however you want it to feel, is completely controlled by you. We also have ceiling fans for circulation and portable fans for direct air current and white noise.
Did you build these?
Partially. In the fall of 2015, we hired a treehouse engineer out of St. Louis to start construction on the Sunrise and Sunset Treehouse. Everything you see on the outside (deck, siding, roofing, etc.) was all done by him, the three of us (Lee, Keely & Kay) finished the interior (minus plumbing and electrical). The two initial treehouses and the Cabin were finished in April of 2016.
Early the next year, in 2017, we hired a different treehouse builder from Pennsylvania to begin construction on the Moonlight treehouse. The three of us then finished out the interior of that treehouse as well, and it was ready for guests at the beginning of June that same year.
How long have the tree houses been here?
Sunrise, Sunset, and the cabin were opened in April of 2016. Moonlight was opened in June 2017.
