The holidays are here!!! Thanksgiving has come and gone, the weather is getting colder and more snowy and Christmas time is making its way into our hearts through carols and Christmas spirit. Spending time with Keely is always one of my favorite things so I love when new wine trails in Hermann approach. Making breakfast and cleaning rooms together is still a joy in this season of life, but getting the chance to sit, sip, and savor the treats on the wine trail is always a blessing.
The line up for this year’s Holiday Fare Hermann Wine Trail was fantastic. Soups and sweets and much more were such a delight to share together. Since my wife is not only a fabulous wife, mother, singer, whistler (hopefully you’ve heard her during breakfast), and cook, she is also an amazing decorator. That’s why the decorations along the trail were so enjoyable as well. Pumpkins and Christmas trees, turkeys and falling leaves were all around us.
As you may have experienced a romantic getaway in any one of our Missouri tree houses, we invite you to take some time at the end of this year and reflect on the blessings you’ve experienced. We’ve definitely been blessed by you visiting us and we hope that you’ll visit us in Hermann again soon.

Hermannhof Winery
Dish – Fire Braised Pork and Apple Stew – Down in the depths of the wine cellar at Hermannhof, sounds of satisfied tummies were happy. The stew was the perfect addition to the cold weather outside and so glad we stopped in to enjoy.

OakGlenn Winery
Dish – Ham Salad with cranberry and almonds – The views at OakGlenn are always unbeatable. Keely and I enjoyed a little bit of fall solitude looking out the window and enjoying each other’s company and this quaint dish and a great bottle of Trolley Red.

Röbller Vineyard
Dish – Fall Harvest Soup – This was our first stop and so glad we make the trek to Röbller Vineyard in New Haven. The fall soup had hints of carrots, squash and fall spices. Paired with the Vidal Blanc was wonderful.
