Just gotta start off by saying that I love cheese. It’s one of my favorite toppings, fillings, and snacks of all time. I have fond memories of eating a simple quesadilla with my mom when I was growing up. One of my other favorite dishes is Velveeta Cheese with Rotel tomatoes. That one’s been handed down for generations in my family. And who can deny one of the festive cheese balls that adorn the tables at holiday parties. So, needless to say, I get very excited for the Say Cheese Wine Trail in Hermann every year.
The line up for this year’s Say Cheese Hermann Wine Trail was savory, to say the least. Sampling sandwiches, soups, and Sauvignon made such an amazing afternoon for Keely and I. We always enjoy getting some time away to ourselves, talking about the future, our kids, and other random topics like where is the show Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. headed (our family binge-watching experience this year).
Throughout the year we want you to enjoy what life has to offer. Our tree houses in Missouri is one way to do that, but there are so many more experiences to be had in Hermann. If you have any questions about a quick getaway for your family or maybe just for two, give us a call and we can make your stay with us memorable.
Adam Puchta Winery
Dish – Poutine with a Red Wine Gravy. A savory dish that included French Fries and cheese curds. Brought me back to my recent trip to Canada. Thanks for the memories!
Wine – Hunter’s Red
Bias Winery
Dish – Broccoli Cheese Soup. Not only was the soup amazing but the ambiance and atmosphere at Bias was superb. We always feel so welcome there and even enjoy seeing the horses roam free.
Wine – Vidal
Dierberg Star Lane
Dish – Cabernet-Infused Chocolate Brownies with Cheesecake Swirl – So AMAZING!!! Dense, sweet, and cheesy top made a wonderful dessert today. I was sure that they were going to have leftovers, but alas no. =)
Wine – Cabernet Sauvignon
Hermannhof Winery
Dish – Mini Grilled Cheese Sandwich with Dubliner Cheddar and Apricot Jam. If you know anything about me, it’s that I love grilled cheese sandwiches. Not only is cheese top of my food list, but crunchy food ranks pretty high as well. Needless to say, this is a favorite for me.
Wine – Vingnoles
OakGlenn Winery
Dish – Ham, Cheese & Grapes. While very simple food pairing, we do love the scenery here at OakGlenn. Good conversation and beautiful landscape make OakGlenn worth coming back to each time.
Wine – Norton
Röbller Vineyard
Dish – Cheese charcuterie plate. Oddly enough I saved the best for last on this plate. Nuts, fruit and cheese were delightful and then I bit into the tea biscuit. What an amazing taste and flavor!
Wine – St. Vincent Rosé

Stone Hill Winery
Dish -Cheesy Spinach Artichoke Dip topped with Tomato, Basil & Bacon Bruschetta, served with toasted Pita Bread. I’ve always held the strong belief that dips could be a meal. This dish from Stone Hill was amazing! Cheesy and crunchy again … my favorite!
